This can backfire, so if I am reading this right, the state can force the electors to vote for the national popular votes(given the Nation Interstate Popular Vote Pact passes) Even if the state constituents vote in favor of the other party. So a state flips red for Trump and Biden wins, the state will assign the electoral votes to Biden, going against the wishes of the STATES population. This is violating the state’s population wishes. How is that not silencing them? The election is 50 different elections being tallied up into one result. States are equal, so PA is equal to NY regardless of the population. Supreme Court ruling already state votes must be one vote one person within States boundaries.
